Second shift classes demanded in Landikotal college

LANDIKOTAL: Students’ union leaders have threatened that they would  hold strike if second shift classes in the government degree collage were not resumed within one week in the government degree collage in Landikotal.
Talking to a press conference held at Landikotal press club, Landikotal Degree College students union president, Shafat Khan Shinwari said that political administration had abandoned second shift classes in the in the college. He said that former political Agent Mutahir Zeb had started free second shift classes which had benefited hundreds of poor students to seek free education in the college.
“Closing second shift classes in the Landikotal degree collage have put future of 650 poor students in risk”, said Shafat. He said the poor students had no other option to get admitted as the rest of the collages in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have already closed the admissions.
Shinwari said 650 students were deprived of taking admissions in F.A, F.Sc due to closure of second shift classes in the government degree college in Landikotal.
The students’ union president threatened that they would observe strike in Landikotal bazaar if Political Agent of Khyber Agency not take back his decision and not resumed classes within one week.
This correspondent tried to take version of the political Agent of Khyber Agency, Khalid Mehmood, but he did not responded to phone calls.
