KHYBER AGENCY: Khasadar force personnel have foiled a bid to smuggle a consignment of narcotics in Jamrud and arrested the peddler, sources said on Sunday.
Taking action on a prior information, the sources said that Khasadars stopped a Suzuki van(5908) at Sam Ghakhi checkpost and recovered 43 kilograms of fine quality of Hashish and 18 kilograms of fine quality opium. The narcotics were concealed in the hidden cavities of the van, the sources said. One person, identified as Haji Muhammad,resident of Katyakhel tribe of Jamrud was arrested and sent him to Jamrud lockup for further investigation.
