80 Fata Christian women completed 6-month skills training in Landikotal

FATA: Political Agent of Khyber Agency distributed sewing machines and certificates among the 80 successful female trainees who completed a six-month skills training in Landikotal, the other day.
The function was arranged at Government Higher Secondary school for girls in Landikotal. A large number of local and Christian women and tribal Mashran attended the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, PA Khyber, Khalid Mehmood said that he was very happy he heard about the skill centre for local and minorities women in Landikotal. He said each healthy activity taking place in the area contribute to create a social and developed society. He said alongside education skills learning was also important to reduce dependency of women over the male of the rigid man dominated society.
Wilson Wazir, head of the skill centre said that the centre was started some three years ago and they have so far trained 150 Muslim and Christian women in Landikotal.  
Meanwhile, political Agent of Khyber Agency also spoke to a Jirga of Zakhakhel tribe elders and peace committee members held in Bazar area of Zakhakhel. He said the gone were the days when residents were being harassed and force for the vested interests of militant groups in the past.
Khalid said the government was committed to launch mega projects in Khyber Agency so that residents could get basic life facilities at their door steps.
He said the sacrifices rendered by Zakhakhel tribesmen for the sake of peace restoration would be remembered in the history.
"It is the due right of every citizen especially of those who suffered of militancy to provide them every possible basic needs without delay”, Khalid Mehmood affirmed. Adding that role of Mashran and elders were dependable to promote peace and harmony in the area. He directed assistant political agent of Landikotal and Khyber Agency development department officials to conduct a survey for the reconstruction of the destroyed and partially damaged schools, health centres and other government installations.
Khalid Mehmood said it was an example for the whole world that Muslims and non-Muslims besides their religion differences were living peacefully in Khyber Agency.

"It is my mission to reshape education and health structure to help provide best possible service delivery", PA said. He said all the ongoing and incomplete developmental projects would be completed on the priority basis. He warned the government employees who not regularly perform their duties would be removed from their services.
The political agent also inspected several ongoing projects including a 40-bed hospital being built in Bazar area of Zakhakhel.
He said the hospital was of its B-category with 50 residential quarters and two bungalows for health staff.
Khalid Mehmood told The News at the hospital site that the hospital would be equipped with modern equipments which would reduce burden over the other hospitals in Khyber Agency.
He said a sum of rupees 355 million would cost the completion of the hospital. He said by the end  of June 2017 next year the hospital would start its services.
