15 Nato oil tankers entered Afghanistan via Torkham border

After a break of almost two months, Nato supply line was resumed via
Khyber Agency as 15 Nato oil tankers and dozens of other containers
carrying Nato consignments crossed the Torkham border and entered
Afghanistan on Sunday, officials sources said.
A
Khasadar official, who was responsible to provide escort to the Nato
supply line, told The News that a Khasadars were deployed on alongside
the Pak-Afghan highway in Landikotal to escort the Nato trucks and oil
tankers. He that 15 Nato oil tankers and dozens of containers reached
Torkham border and crossed the border.
When
asked the officials in Landikotal said that Nato supply line was halted
due to the security reasons for almost two months. The security was put
on high alert in Landikotal and Torkham border to avoid any possible
attacks on the Nato supply line.
