PA Khyber transfer demanded

LANDIKOTAL: Mulagori and Kukekhel tribes elders on Friday staged a token strike at Marbal Chowk in Mulagori and demanded of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor to replace Shahab Ali Shah with an honest and dedicated official.

A score of Mulagori and Kukekhel elders,jointly led by Subedar(R)Sabz Ali Mulagori and Malik Mustafa Khan Kukekhel,staged a token strike in Mulagori Marbal Chowk and chanted slogans against political Agent Khyber. The elders alleged that PA Shahab Ali had totally failed to restore peace in Khyber Agency. 

Subedar(R)Sabz Ali said Mulagori subdivision was a backward area of Khyber Agency where the setting political Agent did not visit to hear their problems. He said that Mulagori area  was lacking basic life needs like clean drinking water, health, education and electricity.

Malik Mustafa Kamal Kukekhel said that the current political agent not allow the tribal elders to meet and discuss problems with him.He said that PA Shahab Ali Shah himself was traveling in bulletproof vehicle while local residents were being targeted and kidnapped round the clock  Khyber Agency.

Another elder Haj Gul said they were expecting cooperation and coordination from Shahab Ali Shah but he always preferred to remain at his office rather to visit the communities and ask about their problems. He said 37 people were killed in militancy related incidents during the month of August but PA Khyber didn't bothered to take  the tribal elders in confidence to help restore peace.

Hajat Gul,the prominent Mulagori elder,accused that PA Khyber was busy in making money from the illegal smuggling taking place from and to Afghanistan.He asked the Fata secretariat officials to directly collect tribal tax at various points in Khyber Agency and spend it on the development of the people in Khyber Agency.

Malik Khan Wali and Amanat Khan said few months back PA Khyber had promised them to initiate several projects in Mulagori area but he didn't returned to his words so far.

The elders demanded of the KP governor and additional chief secretary to forthwith issue the transfer’s orders of Shahab Ali Shah and appoint an honest and dedicated administrator as PA Khyber.The elders threatened that they would staged a protest at the front of governor house if PA Khyber was not replaced.
