KHYBER AGENCY: Kokikhel elders have accused Afghan nationals,residing with them, that they were involved in kidnapping for ransom,killings and other anti-state activities carried out in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber agency.
Demanding strict actions against all social evils, a grand jirga of Kokikhel elders was held in Tehsil Jirga hall on Sunday where a large number of local elders and other tribesmen participated.
Malik Faizullah Jan Kokikhel, who was leading the jirga said that Afghan nationals living in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency for the last four decades were suspected to be the informers of Israil and Indian intelligent agencies.
Faizullah Jan said Afghan should respect their land and obey Pakistani laws as they were guest not their hosts.
Asking the government for a concrete action against afghan nationals,the Kokikhel elders warned that if next time any of the Afghan citizen was found guilty Afghans would be held responsible for all the killings and kidnappings took place in Jamrud so fart. He alleged that Afghan criminals living in Jamrud also give money to teenage boys and using them in anti-Pakistan activities.
The Kokikhel elders rejected the Afghan government privileges offered to tribal people said that Afghan government just want to draw a drift between Fata people and the Pakistani government.
The Jirga also asked those local residents who gave refuge to the Afghan nationals that they would be held responsible if any of the refugee do wrong infuture.
Faizullah Jan Kokikhel said that hundred of Afghan nationals have made fake Pakistani National Identity Cards and get easy access to the sensitive areas in Pakistan.And adding that dozens of other Afghans with the help of some corrupt NADRA officials and local Maliks were issued their Computerized National Identity Cards(CNICs) which should be taken back from them.
The Jirga also banned aerial firing in Jamrud and demanded from the government to open a Utility store branch in the local bazaar.
The Kokikhel jirga submit a written statement to the local administration said that Kokikhel elders would be side by side with the security forces and other law enforcement agencies to curb all the social evils from the area.
