27 injured in Torkham suicide attack,3 bullet riddled bodies found in Jamrud

FATA: At least 27 persons, including Pakistan's customs officials and customs clearing agents,were injured when a suicide bomber Thursday morning  exploded himself inside the busy customs offices building situated at Torkham border,officials said. 
Landikotal assistant political agent,Muhammad Tayyab Abdullah,told This scribe that around 9:30am a 12 to 14-year-old suicide bomber had entered into the Torkham customs house and exploded his explosives packed jacket.He said that at least 27 persons including a senior customs official identified as Superintendent Qazi Haseeb were seriously injured. The injured persons were rushed to Landikotal Headquarters hospital, wherefrom,hospital sources said, six persons including Qazi Haseeb were referred to Hayatabad Medical Complex(HMC) in Peshawar due to their serious health condition. Names of the other injured persons could not be ascertained till filing to this report.The body of alleged bomber was later shifted to AHQ hospital for identification,sources said."Dozens of customs officials and clearing agents were busy in their official work when the blast occurred",the APA said. According to an eyewitness, there was flames of fire all around in the official compound followed by thick smoke. Most of the injured persons had suffered burn injuries in the fire erupted after the explosion, sources said. 
The security forces and Landikotal administration officials along with firefighters rushed to the site as the incident happened and cordond off the area.Torkham-Landikotal road and Torkham border was remained closed for an hour during the clearence and rescue work,the sources said.Movement on Torkham-Landikotal road was restored while Pakistan customs offices were kept closed till the second  orders,sources said.It was learnt that the customs officials and others dealing in Nato goods transportation were the target as they issue clearence certificates to the Nato and US consignments from and in to Afghanistan,however,no group has yet claimed responsibilty of the attack. It was not the first suicide attack carried out on the official installations at Torkham border but 21 other Khasadars had been killed in a similar attack on August 28,2009 at  Aftari time.

On the other hand, three bullet riddled bodies  of Peshawar residents were found in two different places in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency,sources said on Tuesday. Two bodies of Abdul Wahab son Siraj and Abdur Rahim son of Sayed Rahim,residents of Daudzai Peshawar were found in Shahgai Tanra area of Molagori, while Rohullah son of Redi Gul was found dead near Ghariza Pul in Jamrud tehsil.All the three persons were shot dead somewhere else and put the bodies in bags and were  dumped near the roads,the sources said.Jamrud administration took the bodies into their custody and later handed them over to the relatives slain persons.
