350 poor students get free admission in second shift classes

 LANDIKOTAL: For the first time in the history, Government degree collage Landikotal comenced free second shift classes for 350 poor students who had been left from admission due to financial problems.

Assistant political agent Landikotal,Tayyab Abdullah, inaugurated the second shift classes in government degree collage on Friday where hundreds of students and parents were present.The students and parents warmly appriciated the cooperation of the political agent Khyber Mutahir Zeb.
Speaking on the occasion APA Tayyab Abdullah said they had received several applications demanded seats in the collage.He said that the case was sent to PA Khyber who considered it and hired 15 extra teachers.He said 350 students who had missed admissions were adjusted in the second shift FA and FSc classes.
APA said all the expenses including salaries of the teachers and other dues would be paid from the political agent funds allocated for the poor people of Khyber agency. "Due to limited capacity of 250 seats in FA/FSc, 350 aspiring students couldn’t get admission in Government Degree College Landikotal this year", said APA.He said  the importance of accommodating of the 350 students left from admission was realized for which special arrangements were made in the collage to adjust the students in the collage.


Considering the prevalent poverty in Fata,APA said,all expenses in these students would be borne entirely by the Political Administration and students would not be charged any additional fee. The students, parents and people of Landikotal have greatly appreciated this unprecedented initiative by the Political Administration because of which 350 left out students will be able to get higher education at the door steps.
It may be added here that government degree collage Landikotal was established in 1973 with the 250 seats in FA and FSc which couldn't be upgraded after 40 years.
