A security forces personnel was injured when he was defusing a time bomb planted near the the government degree collage hostel in Landikotal, official sources said on Thursday.
The sources said that a hand of Frontier Crops(FC), identified as Multan Khan, was cut off when a bomb went off as he was defusing it. The time device was planted in the hostel targetting the students, sources said. The wounded personnel was rushed to the hospital for treatment wherefrom he was referred to hospital in Peshawar . The explosive device was placed behind one of the college hostels at night time when the senior students of the college had called a meeting of the students and the elders of the area for the resolution of their long standing problems. The students’ gathering was also cancelled after they got to know about the presence of the explosive device near the hostel. The hostels of the Landikotal College have been closed after a senior student was shot dead in the college premises some months back.
