KHAR:(Bajaur)Resident of Bajaur on Friday held a protest rally against the district administration’s failure to trace the killers of a polio worker gunned down six days ago.
People from different walk of life, including youths, political and social activists and students, attended the demonstration held outside the Bajaur Press Club.
The protesters were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans to provide justice to the slain polio worker, Abdullah Jan’s family.They chanted slogans against the administration and the police department for not arresting the killers despite passage of six days.
PTI senior leader Anwarzeb Khan, ANP leader Sayed Sadiq Akbar, PML-N leader Khalid Khan, Insaf Students Federation leader Obaidur Rehman, Asadullah Khan, social activists Anwar Nigar, Maualna Khan Zeb and others addressed the rally.
They pointed out that Abdullah Jan, associated with WHO as union council polio officer, was killed by unknown persons on Saturday last when he was on way to his home on a motorcycle.
However, they said the administration was yet to register FIR against the killers.
