Landikotal officials intentionally not taking action on PHC orders:Nadeem

LANDIKOTAL: Chief of Karwan-e-Khyber Malik Nadeem Afridi accused the Landikotal officials for violating the Peshawar court order as hunderds of loaded and empty trucks have been stranded on the Pak-Afghan highway due to the protesters who had blocked the road at Kata Kushta toll plaza for the last three days.

Flanked by his supporters Karwan-e-Khyber chief Malik Nadeem Afridi told this while speaking to a press conference here in Landikotal press club on Monday.
Nadeem criticized the role of Landikotal administration said that assistant commissioner has failed to take notice against the people who have blocked the road without any legal reason behind. he said assistant commissioner and his other officials yet to implement the high court orders as taking tax from truck at Kata Khushta was declared legal by Peshawsr high court.

Afridi said those who were opposing tax collection on the toll plaza established on Peshawar-Torkham road at Kata Kushta area of Jamrud should adopt a legal procedure in court and should not increase hurdles for transporters and common people for no reason.

Nadeem asked those who blocked the road for three days should knock the Peshawar high court doors against the verdict and they should stay away from illegal actions due to which passengers were suffering badly.

“We should not increase miseries of people. After the merger, all departments will come and start working in Khyber tribal district according to the constitution. The toll plaza will collect the tax that will be spent for the repair and construction work on Peshawar-Torkham road,” Afridi said.

He expressed that they did not want any tussle but some influential people hailing from the other area create anarchy and tension in the area which may lead to spread hate among tribes.

Nadeem said the parties would held talks along in Jamrud tomorrow to reach to a peaceful salution. He said a pinch of people has blocked the road while the  majority people of the area back the establishment of the toll plaza at Kata Khushta.He said assistant commissioner of Landikotal Muhammad Imran failed to deliver and maintain law and order in Landikotal subdivision.

Meanwhile, dozens of transporters led by Shakir Afridi have been protesting tax collection on the toll plaza established at Peshawar-Torkham road in Kata Kushta area in Landikotal for the last three days.Talking media Shakir Afridi said that erstwhile Fata disteicts have been given a free tqx zones for five years. He said it was injustice with the tribal people that the government not rwspect its own words and decisions made before the Fata merger. Shakir said the government should initiate other developmental projects rather to supress the mimitancy suffered people for imposing more taxes on them.
