LANDIKOTAL:Pakistan custom officials at Torkham border foiled a bid to smuggle a huge quantity of arms from Afghanistan and arrested a piddler,officials said Wednesdsy.
Pakistan Customs suprintendent Pir Izhar told media that on the prior information they stopped a truck(KAB-26322) at Torkham border crossing the Khasadars and Frontier Corps(FC) checking points near the Pak-Afghan border.
He said that the truck was loaded with cucumbers' bags under which the smuggler had concealed 305 Russia and Turkey guns. The custom officials said that the guns could be used in terrorism bids.
Pir Izhar said price of each gun in open market is Rs,0.4 million.An Afghan national identified as Ibadullah was arrested and sent him to undisclosed location for further investigation.
