Education, civil departments high-ups inspected schools in Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL: A team of top level officials from Khyber Agency on Tuesday paid surprise visits to the state-run educational institutions and inspected its curriculum and extra curriculum activities and infrastructure in various schools and college in Landikotal tehsil.

The inspection team, head by Political Agent of Khyber Agency Capt(R) Khalid Mehmood  and Agency Education Officer(AEO) Jadoon Khan Wazir visited the lone girls’ higher secondary school, Medal school  for boys and the government-run degree college in Landikotal tehsil.

They inspected the school and the college buildings, libraries,laboratories and met with different grade students and teachers in these institutions. The officials inquired about the students and teachers genuine problems to help increase education ratio in Landikotal. PA heard the problems of the students and he pledged to resolve it as soon as possible. Students appealed from the officials to hire lecturers for mathematics, English, civics and for physic.

Speaking on the occasion, political agent Khalid Mehmood and education officer Jadoon Khan Wazir said that they were committed to provide best possible education environment to the students within the institutions. They said those who were absent from their duties would be suspended and a case would be filed against them to insure hundred percent attendance in the schools and colleges.

 Jadoon Wazir  directed the education staff to perform their duties with honestly to equip the today’s children with education ornament.

 The inspection team also visited the government degree college in Landikotal and met with the principal, Professor Aslam Tasir. They discussed various issues being faced by the students, staff members and the institution.

The officials assured the principal for providing moral and economical assistance to reduce and resolve the genuine problems in the institution.

Khalid Mehmood directed political tehsildar Landikotal Irshad Mohmand to pay visits to different government-run educational institutions on weekly bases in order to increase the enrollment ratio in state-owned schools.  Khalid said that he would discuss their genuine issue with fata secretariat officials. PA issued direction to provide scouts uniform to the scout team of Gagra medal school.
