Militant surrendered in Khyber Agency

KHYBER AGENCY:  In respect of the dealine set by the security forced, one of the thirty-six alleged militants hailing from Khyber Agency surrendered to the security forces,official said on Tuesday.

On the condition of anonymity, an official of the Khyber Agency administration, told The News that one, Hazrat Ali son of Muhammad Akhtar, resident of Kokikhel voluntarily surrendered to the Jamrud administration.

The arrested person was among the other thirty-six alleged militants wanted to the security forces and Khyber Agency administration in many cases.
He was shifted to Jamrud lock up for interrogation, the official said.

It may be added here that Swat Scouts Commandent Colonel Naeemullah and political agent of Khyber Sayed Shahb Ali Shah had called a meeting of Kokikhel elders' last week asking them to hand over 36 wanted persons till 4th of October.

The Kokikhel elders had been warned that the security forces would conduct strict military actions if they failed to cooperate law enforcing agencies. Col Naeem had also noticed the Kokikhel elders to take responsibility of their village security as all the houses near to the blast site would be demolished if blasts take place in future.
