KHYBER AGENCY: Two minor children including a boy and girl have lost their lives while dozens of other homes and standing crops have been destroyed in rain-related incidents in different areas of Khyber Agency, officials and local sources said on Monday.
The sources said that roof of a house one Tasleem caved in due to heavy rain in Loey Shalman area of Landikotal on Sunday night and buried the inmate alive. As the roof collapsed other residents rushed to the site. Two children, identified as daughter and nephew of Tasleem had lost their lives in the incident.
The rain and windstorm also damaged houses in Loey Shalman,Sheen Pokh,Pasedkhel and destroyed standing crops. Electricity was also disconnected to all parts of Landikotal for the last twenty-four hours
