Staff demanded for ghost school in Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL: Residents have demanded of the governor Khyber Pakhtukhwa to provide staff to the Government Girls Primary School(GGPS) built in 2012 in Kam-Shalman area of Landikotal tehsil in Khyber Agency.
Manzal Khan,resident of  Ragha village in Kam-Shalman, told reporters that a state-run school with two rooms and a veranda was constructed three years ago.
He said they requested the Agency Education Officer(AEO),Attiqur Rehman but he did not afforded to hear them. He said Assistant Agency Education Officer(AAEO) Hastam Afridi was tried to contact but they did not find him at his office.
  The residents lamented the setting Fata officials totally failed as the school could not be activated since it had been constructed with the cost of rupees 5.6 million rupees. They termed it a serious crime by the officials which deprived children from their constitutional rights.
Manzal Khan said that more than two hundreds girls of village were deprived of their basic right to seek knowledge as the school was not provided teaching staff so far.
The Ragha residents have appealed of the governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan,Members of parliament, Political agent of Khyber agency and director education Fata to take serious notice of their appeal and take a strict action against those who delayed the provision of staff to the school.
This correspondent tried to take version of Attiqur Rehman,AEO Khyber but he did not respond to phone calls and SMS.
