Newly elected TUJ Khyber office-bearers take oath


PESHAWAR: The newly elected office bearers of Tribal Union of  Journalists(TUJ) Khyber Agency chapter took oath here on Saturday.

Attaur Rehman, deputy sectary home and affairs Tribal areas, administered the oath.Beside the local elders,tribal politicians and civil society members a large number of journalists from Landikotal,Jamrud and Bara Tehsils of Khyber Agency were also present at the ceremony. 


Mehboob Shah Afridi was elected as president of TUJ Khyber while Yaqoob Afridi elected as general Secretary in the 2015 election. 

The other office bearers of TUJ Khyber are Hidayat Shah Afridi,Ali Akbar Afridi, Zahid Mulagori,Shafiq Afridi and Himat shah Himat Shah Mulagori.

Speaking on the occasion, Attaur Rehman lauded the important role being played by the tribal journalists in peace restoration in the Fata.He urge the tribal journalists to support the government and the security forces stance against those who were killing innocent people.

 On the behalf of the government.  Attaur Rehman assured all possible moral and social support for the journalists working in militancy hit areas of Fata. 

The Newly elected TUJ president, Mehboob Shah Afridi thanked the official and said that tribal journalists are committed with their profession and would work for the solidarity and integrity of Pakistan. He said that it was hidden from any one that 13 tribal journalists have lost their lives and many others also suffered material loses but they did not compromised over their commitment and loyalty with their land.
