Two soldiers among four killed in Tirah blasts

KHYBER AGENCY: Two security personnel and as many as Tauheedul Islam volunteers(pro-government peace committee) were killed while two others received injuries in two consecutive roadside bomb blasts in Paindi Cheena area of Zakhakhel in Landikotal tehsil of Khyber Agency,official and local sources said on Tuesday.

The sources said that Frontier Crops(FC)personnel and volunteers of local peace committee, falocally known as Tauheedul Islam(TI), were on routine patrolling in Paindi Cheena when first blast occurred. Soon after the first blast, the sources said, another roadside bomb went off in the same locality. Four persons including two paramilitary soldiers and two Tauheedul Islam's volunteers were killed. Two other soldiers also sustained injuries in the twin blasts.
 
Soon after the incident, TI volunteers and the security forces rushed to the site and cordoned off the area and airlifted the dead and injured persons through helicopters.
 
The killed security personnel were identified as Sepoy Zameen,resident of Charsadda and Hameed,resident of Lakki Marwat.Two other security personnel were also injured in the blasts who were shifted to Combined Military Hospital(CMH) in Peshawar. 

Two Tauheedul Islam volunteers identified as Rahmatullah and Abdul Baqi,residents of Shankhel Zakhakhel were also injured in the blast.
The security forces later launched a search operation in the area to trace down culprits but made no arrest on the spot, the sources said.
