Jalozai inmates stage protest rally against PTI,camp officials

JALOZAI:Displaced persons from Khyber Agency chanting slogans against FDMA and PTI govt.

PESHAWAR: Thousands of Khyber Agency displaced persons  on Friday staged a protest rally in Jaolazai camp against the corruption of Federal Disaster Management Authority(FDMA)and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

The protest rally,led by Pakistan Muslim League(Nawaz)leader Suhail Ahmad Afridi, marched from Jalozai camp to main Peshawar-Nowshehra road where they blocked the road and chanted full-throught slogans against the PTI government and Jaolazai camp officials.

Addressing the rally, Suhail Ahmad Afridi said that the FDMA and provincial government had failed to assess the forcefully displaced persons.He said FDMA and other officials had  promised them of providing all necessities to the displaced persons but in vain.He said million of ruppees ration donated by Canada and USAID had been sold put by the camp officials in open bazaar.Suhail said military actions  were not the ultimate solution of conflict as they had informed the government about their reservations in 2009.

"All the schools,hospitals,BHUs,roads and business centres had been closed which so far caused billion of ruppees blow to the people of Bara residents",said Suhail.He lamented the slow process of IDPs registration officials said that old age men and women had to wait for hours long to get registered as IDPs.

Bara Khidmat-e-Khalq president,Noor Muhammad Afridi alleged that Jalozai camp officials Abid Khattak,Faisal Khattak,Hassan Dani and other officials were involved in corruption.He said all goods came as donation for IDPs were not distributed but sold in the other cities.He said hundreds of unregistered families were residingwith their relatives in the camp to get register.

Noor Muhammad criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor that he did not invited an IDPs' representative in the jirga held at governor house Peshawar las week.

Other Bara IDPs elders Member Storikhel,Haji Daulat Khan and Rehman Shah Afridi also spoke and demanded forthwith action against the camp officials.The speakers said they were not provided quality of medicines,foods and other edibles.

They said SAFRAN minister had also visited the Jaolazai camp but he so far did nothing for them.

The Khyber Agency displaced persons demanded of the governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,Sardar Ahmad Khan and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to replace the corrupt Jaolazai camp officials with sincere and honest in-charges.

They set a deadline that they would start a sit-in at the front of Peshawar press club on 20th of this month if their demandeds were not accepted.
