Health staff threatens to boycott from anti-polio drives

KHYBER AGENCY: The polio workers including area in-charge in Khyber Agency have threatened that if the amount of their last five campaigns was not release within few days they would not take part in the coming ant-polio campaigns. 

An official of health department who wished anonymity told this scribe that  31 areas in-charge of 118 polio teams have already informed health department about their boycott if their were not paid the previous amount. He said that most of the polio workers were volunteers who work on daily wages. He said the case has been sent to the high up for approval to release the amount.
On the other hand polio workers accused that Khyber Agency health officials wasting their time and while setting in well-furnished offices. They said at the start of every anti-polio campaign they have been promised for their wages but in vain.
 " We will not take no risk of their life any more as we are the bound slave to work while money goes to the pockets of the high ups", a health staff employee said. 
It may be added here that Khyber Agency is on the top in the list of polio cases where 35 polio cases for registered this year.
