Khasadar killed in targeted bomb landikotal blast

FATA: A security personnel was killed while another sustained injuries in a remote controlled bomb blast in Sadukhel area of Landikotal tehsil in Khyber Agency, official and local sources said on Thursday.

The sources said that a remote controlled Improvised Explosive Device(IED) was placed near the Khasadars mobile vehicles which went off  around 9 am as they were leaving for patrolling.
A khasadar Sepoy, identified as Ilyas died on the spot while his brother Subedar Samar Khan sustained injuries. An eyewitness told this scribe that the bomb was buried at the point where they used to park their vehicle every day.

As the blast occurred Landikotal assistant political agent, Muhammad Tayyab Abdullah along with contingent of security forces rushed to the area and condoned off the locality. They also collected evidences and started investigation, sources said. APA also visited the deceased Khasadar and condoled the incident. He gave  Rs 0.1 million to the family of the slain security personnel for burial purposes. The injured Khasadar official was shifted to Landikotal hospital wherefrom, hospital sources said, was referred to hospitals in Peshawar due to his serious condition.
Abdullah Ez'zam brigade spokesman Abu Masab told reporters by phone from unknown location and claimed responsibility of the attack on Khasadar forces.
