QWP Fata leaders sought integration of all Pakhtuns


LANDIKOTAL: Qaomi Watan Party Fata chairman and seasoned politician Asad advocate demanded fair local government elections and said that his party believe in the integration of all Northern, southern and Pashtuns of Fata.

Asad Afridi advocate and other QWP Fata leaders were speaking a press conference held here in Landikotal Press club on Saturday. Asad said tribal people lack honest leadership to overcome from the imposed militancy and war on terror with a policy based on reality. Asad Adovcate said political administration in Fata and Tribal Jirga system have lost credibility due to the deteriorated law and order situation if FATA.



Afridi said Fata people had lost much of their leadership in militancy for the solidarity and integrity of Pakistan. He said after the withdrawal of NATO and US troops from Afghanistan would be more threatening and dangerous for the people of Fata. He said militants councils have replaced the tribal jirga system holding meetings to resolve local issues.

QWP Fata chairman said that free and fair local government elections were the ultimate tool to rehabilitate the confidence and develop political awareness among the tribal people. He said that his party would not accept nomination of agency councilors in Fata. He said that it was the right of the Fata people to decide their own fate.

To a question Asad said referendum could be used as tool to give a new political shape to FATA.

Afridi said that Qaomi Watan Party believes in joint efforts with the other political parties to overcome the leadership crisis and settle down all the issues being faced by tribal people. Khyber Agency QWP chairman Qayyum Shinwari also spoke on the occasion.
