First dengue case reported in Khyber
KHYBER AGENCY: A 12-year-old boy in Molagori area was declared dengue positive and treated in Peshawar Lady Reading Hospital,family sources said on Sunday.Iftikhar Ahmad,father of Ansaar Ahmad,12, said that his son was infected by dengue virus some few days ago. He said doctors in the local civil hospital advised to shift the Ansaar to LRH where he was declared dangue positive.The infected child went through proper dangue treatment and recovered,said Farhad, a medical technician in Sher Bridge civil hospital.He said as the first dengue case was reported health officials distributed four thousands mosquito nets in the area.However,he said they need enough medicines for the proper medication of patients if the same cases reported to them.To a question he said that Afghan refugees cross their area which might be the cause of transfermation of dengue virus from Afghanistan
