PTI demo against drone strikes in Fata

           PTI leaders, tribals elders demand forthwith halt of drone strike in Fata

 LANDIKOTAL: The Khyber Agency chapter Tehreek-e-Insaaf(PTI) leaders and tribal elders jointly staged protest demonstration against US drone strikes and military operations in Fata. 

   The hundreds of tribal youth,local elders and political party leaders marched from Bacha Khan Chowk to Landikotal press club.They chanted full-throat slogans against US violation in Fata.

The protesters  were holding banners inscribed with the slogans of ”stop drone strikes in tribal areas" and forthwith halt military operation in Fata”. 
 The PTI led demo was demanding of the newly established government to take up the issue with US president Obama. They alleged that drones had killed dozens of innocent Pakistani citizens.

 Speaking on the occasion, PTI leader Abdur Raziq Shinwari said that US unmanned strikers were not only against the violation of Pakistan's  sovereignty but it also caused heavy collateral damages in tribal belt. Raziq said repeated violation of PakistanI air space had increased hatred against US government.He asked the newly government of Pakistan Muslim League(N) to materialize the promises they made with the people during election. Raziq demanded of the federal and KP governments to clearly take stance against the American interference in Pakistan.He also came hard on local political  administration officials and said that they have turned off their eyes towards the people's  miseries.He said local officials were only interested to collect illicit money from the checkposts and making their own bungalows in posh cities of Pakistan.He also criticized the TESCO officials for  their prolonging loadsheding in Landikotal.Shinwari threatened that if their genuine demands were not accepted in one week PTI workers will come on the roads and would start a series of agitation.  
 Prominent tribal elder Major(r) Bakht Hussain in his address rejected the amendments brought in Frontier Crime Regulations(FCR)He declared FCR as root cause for all troubles being faced by the tribesmen.Bakht Hussain demanded complete abolishment of FCR and asked the government to bring Fata into mainstream.He stressed upon the dwellers of the area to be united if they want solution of their problems. Bakht Hussain called the government to take constructive initiatives to set up permanent peaceful atmosphere in the tribal belt.After an hour long protest demonstration the protesters  dispersed peacefully.
