LANDIKOTL: The Nato supplies halted by the Khyber Pakhtun-Khwa government and Khyber  Agency administration via Khyber pass after the attack on the Nato containers in Jamrud tehsil was resumed after twelve days on Saturday, official and border sources said.
The sources said seven Nato containers were allowed to crossed Torkham Border on Saturday after they received formal orders from the top administration officials. The Khyber Pakkhtun-Khwa government and Khyber Agency administration had decided some two weeks ago to halt Nato supplies temporarily after the motorcyclists’ attack on the route in which a driver was killed while his helpers sustained injuries in Jamrud tehsil, sources said.

According sources in National Logistic Cell (NLC), all the seven containers were packed with the foods items and other daily commodities. The containers were escorted by several Khasadar and Levies forces mobile vans and crossed Torkham border safely into Afghanistan.
Khyber Agency administration officials have confirmed the restoration of the Nato supplies to Afghanistan said that they have chalked out a security plan for the Nato convey as they have resumed the supplies.
It may be added here that after the formal agreement with the Nato on July 31 the KPK government and Khyber Agency administration had sent back Nato containers from Takhta Baig check post in Jamrud and ring road in Peshawar due to security reasons.
