PA distributed Rs11.4 million among poor patients in Khyber

LANDIKOTAL:  The Khyber Agency political administration during the last two months has distributed rupees 11.4 million among 144  poor patients of serious diseases, PA Mutahirzeb told The News on Sunday.  
 PA Khyber, Mutahirzeb, while talking to The News said during the last two months more than five hundreds applications of heart, thalassemia, cancer, hepatitis C, kidney and other patients of lethal diseases were submitted to his office. He said after scrutinizing they issued Rs, 11.4 million (Rs.11400000) to the 144 poor patients from the three tehsils of Khyber Agency. He however said that the rest of the applicants would also soon receive amount as per their needs.
The Political Agent said the prices of the medicines were sky rocketed and doctors have doubled their consultation fees as he receives scores of applications of the poor tribesmen for financials help who could not afford their expensive for medical treatment. To a question he said that all the patients were assisted from his special “health care funds” established in his office for the needy patients. He urged the media-men to help his office employees to select such deserving people for financial help who so far not filed their applications due to some reasons. Patients who received were contacted said that they were satisfied the process and thanked the Khyber Agency administration for help.
