34 narcotics dealers arrested in Jamrud, 16 shops bulldozed

JAMRUD: Following the strict orders of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the Jamrud administration bulldozed 16 narcotics shops in Wazirdand area of Jamrud tehsil and 34 persons were arrested on the spot, officials said on Saturday.
Assistant political agent Jamrud, Muhammad Jamil told reporters that on the strict orders of KPK governor, Barrister Masood Kausar, they started crackdown in Jamrud and bulldozed 16 shops dealing Hashish, wine and heroin.  He said that they also arrested 34 persons who will be interrogated.
Local people appreciated the crackdown against the social evils and said that billions of families not in Pakistan but also in world have suffered of drugs affected persons which must be stopped. However, they also noticed that many times authorities arrested the smugglers but later set free.
