LANDIKOTAL: Tribal Union of Journalist(TUJ) announced three days
mourning on the brutally killing of a tribal journalist, Mukarram Khan
Atif.
An hurriedly meeting was called at 8 pm in main TUJ office in Peshawar.
More than hundred journalists from all tribal agencies were present in
the meeting. Senior tribal journalist and former TUJ president,Safdar
Hayat Dawar condemned the incident and said that Mukarram Khan Atif
was a brave and brilliant journalist who did not compromise on this
balance reporting. The meeting offered special prayer for the departed
soul of Mukarram Khan Atif that Allah may rest his soul in peace.
Safadar Hayat Khan Dawar said that union will observe three days
mourning from tomorrow and will stage protest and rally in Peshawar on
19th January.
The funeral prayer of the slain journalist will be offer at 11 am
today at Zafar Baba graveyard in Shabqadar and will be lay down there.
