Political tehsildar Landikotal, Abdul Nabi, said that they had convened the Sultankhel jirga to strive for the safe recovery of the Afghan national who had been kidnapped from the main road in Khyber few days back, sources said..
He said that the political administration also arrested eleven persons of Sultankhel and Sheikhwal tribes under the collective territorial responsibilities clauses of FCR to force them for the safe recovery of the Afghan kidnapee. The elders of Sultankhel tribe criticized the administration for arresting innocent persons of Sultankhel tribe and for terrifying the tribesmen to be arrested, which they said was not fair and a violation of the newly introduced Fata reforms in FCR.
Tehsildar Landikotal also said that under the new reforms of FCR only children, women and aged persons were exempted from the arrest. He said that encroachments would be razed on the road side, which is another issue not having any relation to the abduction of the Afghan national.
