KHYBER AGENCY: The Khyber Khasadars and Levies force personnel raided several drug dens in Wazir dand area of Jamrud Tehsil in Khyber Agency and recovered million of rupees narcotics,sources said on Thrusday.
Political agent of Khyber Agency Khalid Mehmood told The News that they had received a secret information that some of the local people had established dens where they were selling different kinds of drugs. He said a raiding squad was constituted and conducted raideds on several compounds in Wazir dand area, near Karkhano Markets in Peshawar.
Khalid said 120 drug addicted persons while four of the drug dealers have been apprended. Four klashinkoves rifles,
megazines,hundreds of bullet rounds and chamicles being used in narcotics manufacturing were also recovered from the possessions of the arrested persons.
The arrested persons and narcotics were shifted to Jamrud administration lock up.
It may be mentioned here that PA Khyber had already initiated crack downs against all kinds of anti social elements and sealed a large number of shops deals in narcotics.
Political agent Khlid Mehmood served show casuse notices to tehsildar Jamrud while responsible Khasadar and levies officials have been suspended. He said soon inquiry was launched and strict action would be taken if any of the official or civil person was found guilty in the sale purchase of narcotics.
