Landikotal collage gets new bus after 40 years

LANDIKOTAL:The lone government-run degree collage in Landikotal  gets a new  staff bus and clean drinking water-tank after forty years.

Taking action on the repeated students' demand,the Khyber Agency political administration provided a new bus to the government degree collage in Landikotal on Tuesday.

A ceremony was organized in Landikotal degree collage which was attended by local elders,political leaders,students and their students.Assistant political agent of Landikotal,Muhammad Tayyab Abdullah,handed over keys to the collage principle.
The APA also inaugurated the 7,000 gallon water-tank in the collage.
APA Muhammad Tayyab Abdullah told The News that the students of the collage were demanding for past several years to provide them a new bus and clean drinking water. He said on the special directives of the political Agent of Khyber Agency, Sayed Shahab Ali Shah,they bought a bus from the PA funds.He said they also started work on  a water-tank with capacity of 7,000 gallon to insure clean drinking water to collage students .Tayyab said after hectic efforts of the collage staff and the officials they also resolved the drinking water problem of the collage. 
APA Landikotal,MNA Alhaj Shahji Gul and National Books Foundation director Murad Ali Afridi paid rupees 20,000 each to the collage principal to buy books for the poor students in the collage. 
Collage principal Professor  Shah Muhammad Shinwari thanked the Khyber Agency administration for helping the collage and said that the collage students would further not waste their time in protests.

It may be added here that General Ziaul Haq had provided the first bus to  the collage in 1974 which was used for 40-years.
