KHYBER AGENCY: Zakhakhel pro-government peace committee, locally known as Tauheedul Islam(TI), Monday shot dead two more of its opponents over suspicions that they were spying and involved in attacks against them, official and local sources said.

The sources said that volunteers of the Tauheedul Islam (TI) group had picked up Zakhakhel residents, identified as Gul Ghameen and Daryab Khan and shot them dead after interrogating them in their so-called Shura.

This was the third such incident in one week in Zakhakhel area of Landikotal which raised the number of same kind of death to five. The TI had killed three other people on similar charges in Bazaar Zakhakhel during the last one week, the sources said.

The group’s shura alleged that the men were involved in two bomb blasts that took place in the Mastak  area of Zakhakhel during the past two weeks. The explosions left three of its volunteers dead and three others injured. No group, that time had claimed responsibility for the attacks, but the Tauheedul Islam blamed the its opponents.

Tauheedula Islam emerged as a new group who they call them selves as Tauheedul Islam in 2011 when Mangal Bagh-led Lashkar-i-Islam(LI) allegedly killed a Zakhakhel cleric and since then clashes between them have caused heavy casualties on both sides
