Advocacy meeting on projects proposals for Women Economic and Political Empowerment

Pak Women is a non-government organization working for women economic and political development for the last several years.
Pak women is implementing a women economic and political participation Project focused on strengthen the role of women MPAs in accordance with the constitution of the Islamic republic of Pakistan especially related to ADP/ ADB and gender responsive budgeting with the financial support of UN WOMEN. The Purpose of the meeting was to present the two developed proposal designed for women economic and political empowerment which was prepared by the women parliamentarians with the support of Pak women and also to strengthen constitutional role of MPAs and strengthened their role in budget process and make the budget gender responsive.
In this scenario Pak Women organized an advocacy meeting with honorable chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr.Pervez Khattak.
The meeting was attended  by Shah Raam khan along with the following MPA  Ms.Aisha Naeem,Ms.Fozia Bibi,Mst Meher Taj Roghani,Mst.Zareen Riaz and Mst.Nassem Hayat.  
Madam Azra Husain Executive Director Pak Women presented the two projects proposals comprising on women economic and women political development.
Mr.Aftab Durrani secretary P& D has technically reviewed and recommended these projects to be the part of next budget 2014-15.
Honorable Pervez Khattak gave positive inputs regarding these projects and showed his keen interest and its incorporation in next budget.In addition he directed secretary P&D to call a meeting of all relevant stake holders of the proposed projects in next week for making a final decision regarding this.
All the participants appreciated the Pak Women efforts and assured for full support in future for such of type of activities.
