WFP distributed Food packages among poors in Landikotal

 

LANDIKOTAL: World Food Programme(WAP) distributed food packages among 1500 families in various parts of Landikotal Tehsil in Khyber Agency,officials said on Wednesday.

Ahmad Ali,WFP Agency coordinator and Kiramat Shinwari,hujra Organization social organizer, said that more than fifteen hundred  vulnerable tribesmen including orphans,disables and jobless tribesmen received food packages under the"Food for Work" program.He said that WFP with the collaboration of Hujra Organization selected deserving families in Landikotal. He said they disrtibuted food package including 80 kilogram of floor, 4.1 kilogram of  cocking oil, salt bags among the family members who also did some public service like construction of street pavement,cleaning of their streets and surroundings in their own villages, the official informed.

The officials said that residents of Pasaidkhel, Khugakhel and Sultankhel have received the food items.

Local tribesmen greatly applauded the welfare programme of WFP and have appealed to maintain the program  in future as hundreds of poor families were  being helped so far.
