Torkham border closed during PTI set-in

TORKHAM BORDER: Khyber Agency administration on Saturday beefed up security on Pak-Afgan highway and closed down Torkham border for movement to avoid untoward incident during PTI-led set-in held on Peshawar Ringroad,officials said.
Torkham Tehsildar,Miraj Khan, told reporters that high ups had directed the border authorizes to  they closed down Torkham border during PTI set-in against Nato supply and drone strikes in Fata.He said that Torkham border was closed since Saturday morning for vehicles and passengers'movement.However,he said that only coffins of dead persons and sick persons were allowed to cross the border. Miraj said that the border would be remain close till they receive second orders.On the other side of the Torkham,Afghan border authorizes also restricted movement and asked the Afghan nationals not to travel Pakistan on Saturday,border sources said.
Meanwhile, scores of PTI workers,supporters and leaders in a convey of vehicles left from Landikotal and Jamrud to participate in the set-in organized against US drone strikes at Peshawar Ring road.
