Walk held to bring education awareness among tribal parents

LANDIKOTAL:Officials of the local administration and Fata education directorate,teachers,elders and dozens of schoolchildren  staged a education awareness walk to mark world literacy day here on Monday.
Political tehsildar Landikotal,Daftar Khan and Fata directorate officials jointly led the walk.They marched from the administration offices to hospital Chowk holding placards and banners inscribed with the slogans of motivating parents to enroll their children in  schools. The three days education awareness campaign  was specially observed in Fata from 9 to 11of September.
Speaking on the occasion political Tehsildar Daftar Khan said that it was not possible for the government to ensure hundred percent enrollment in the government-run schools but with the  cooperation of civil society and media.He said seeking of  education has been made obligatory on every parent to get enroll their children in schools.Khan said Islam also teaches us the compulsion of education  for every men and women.
The official noticed the anti-social elements that they would not afford hurdles in girls educationeducation. He said those who were making hurdles in girls education  would be delt with iron hands.He urged  that today’s children were the builder of tomorrow and the concerned authorities would leave no stone unturned to facilitate the local tribesmen to enroll their kids in schools. 
Daftar Khan said they have been directed by the governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and political agent to facilitate and conducts programs spreading awareness in people.
It may be added here that for the first time in the Fata history such events are being staged for three days out side the officials compounds.
