BISP office,NBP branch demanded in Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL: Political Agent Khyber Mutahir Zeb has assured the tribal jirga that he would soon open Benazir Income Support Program(BISP) office and National Bank branch in Landikotal bazaar. A jirga of Shinwari and Afridi elders and politicians  met the Khyber Agency political agent on Monday and asked him for  the opening of Benazir Income Support Program office and Installation  of Automatic teller Machine(ATM) in Landikotal bazaar.
 The jirga led by Malikzada Abdur Razzaq Afridi told PA Khyber Mutahir Zeb that at least two thousands poor women from  Landikotal were registered with Benazir Income Support Program in which only hundred women could get their ATM cards and monthly stipend. The jirga also demanded of the officials to provide female teachers to the government-run schools in the far-flung areas schools. Saifur Rehman,a Shinwari tribe elder,, told PA Khyber that if the Torkham bus terminal dispute was not resolved soon Khugakhel tribesmen would shed blood of each other.He said Torkham terminal had been closed over the tender dispute some two months before suffering Rs 1 million each day.Saifur Rehman said the terminal was the lone source of encome which badly suffer the economic condition of the thousands Khugakhel tribesmen. 
Requesting for the renovation and rehabilitation of damaged schools in Khyber Agency Failzullah Jan Kokikhel said that hundreds of children' future including girls have been suffering.He told PA that a branch of National Bank should be opened in Landikotal bazaar to reduce the account holders' burden on the lone HBL branch.  PA Khyber assure the jirga members that they would consult their issues with the high ups and with the BISP and National Bank officials to make sure the best service of the people.Mutahir Zeb also urged the elders to cooperate and coordinate with administration and security forces to maintain law and order in the area.
