Khasadar force personnel claimed to have arrested an Afghan national
who wanted to abduct and kill another Afghan national in Charwazgai area
of Landikotal tehsil,official sources said on Saturday.
The source said that an Afghan national along with his family was traveling in a taxi cab from Torkham border to Peshawar when a gunman stopped him near Charwagai area and opened fire on him with his pestle. The person in the taxi cab, whose name could not be confirmed, managed escaped unharmed, leaving behind his wife and children in the car.
Khasadar force personnel deployed on the Charwazgain check-post rushed to the site and cordoned off the area. They arrested the gunmen identified as Abdul Qodus,resident of Afghanistan along with his rifle and sent him to Landikotal lock up for investigation. Landikotal administration also took the woman and her children into their custody and shifted to Landikotal administration compound.
It was the second abduction case in the last three days in Landikotal tehsil, Abdul Aziz,an Afghan national. who recently came from Dubai, was also abducted from Khyber Zakhakhel area three days ago.
