Three among five killed in Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL: Three children among five persons were killed while eight others sustained bullets injuries in two different incidents took place in Landikotal tehsil of Khyber Agency, official and local
sources said on Friday.
Khaliq Noor, an eyewitness, told Lead Pakistan on phone that Minadar.and Habibur Rehman, residents of Ashkhel in Landikotal, had enmity over a piece of land. He said both the rival parties came face to face at Speen Jumat area of Landikotal after they attended funeral prayers of two minor children killed in a traffic incident. He said both the parties exchanged harsh and hard words followed by exchange of fire on each other.  The firing was continue for several minutes killing three persons on the spot while injured eight others, Khaliq Noor said.
“I put three dead bodies and eight seriously injured persons in
vehicles who were rushed to Landikotal Agency Headquarters Hospital”, said Noor.
The slain persons were identified as Shamadar and Sirajuddin sons of Minadar and 11-year-old Navid son of Abid while the injured persons in the bloodshed  were identified as Ahmad Jan, Muhibullah, Nazirullah .
Muhammad Dar, Tilawat, Arshad, Abid and Samid rushed to Landikotal hospital.
Doctors and paramedics in the Landikotal hospital said that Ahmad Jan,Muhibllah,Nazirullah,Muhammad Dar and Tilawat were referred to hospitals in Peshawar due to their serious health conditions.  It was learnt that two other persons  of the same rival parties had also been injured in a same kind of conflict took place some time ago over the same dispute.
Meanwhile, Landikotal administration officials reached to the spot and
insured ceasefire. Two persons from each parties were arrested and laid Tiga(truce)of rupees 2 million between them.
In the second incident, two children identified as Abdul Basit, 6 and Zulkefal, 5, died when a speedy car fill down into a deep ravine in Mukhtarkhel area of Landikotal, official sources said. The car(9415
-R) was carrying family members from Ashkhel to Mukhtarkhel went out of the driver’s control when it negotiating a dangerous curve, the sources said. Driver of the car Rafiullah sustained minor injuries, the sources said.
