15 released from Landikotal

LANDIKOTAL: Khyber Agency administration official Friday conducted open court session ( Kolli Kachehri) in Landikotal jail and released 15 prisoners involved in petty crimes, officials said on Friday.
Dozens of family members and media persons were present in the court session held here in the compound of the Landikotal lockup. Assistant political agent Landikotal, Muhammad Tayyab Abdullah, heard the cases and appeals filed by the arrested persons. APA on the spot ordered the release of released fifteen detainees in respect of the Eidul-Adha(Bakra Eid). However, dozens of other appeals by the family members of the arrested persons were rejected on the bases of involvement in murders’ cases and heinous crimes, APA said. Local people and family members appreciated the release of the persons who could be able to celebrate Eid with their families.
