Opposition parties staged protest rally in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Hundreds of workers and leaders of the different opposition political parties staged protest rally in Islamabad on Thursday and chanted full-throat slogans against the PPP-led government.

The protest rally, which was also joined by different walks of life including members of the civil society marched from Shahra-e- Dastoor to Parliament house. They were holding placards and banners inscribed with “Go Zardari go” and “Sham Sham Gilani” slogans.

Addressing on the occasion, senior Muslim League (N) leader, Chaudri Nisar, said that Zardari and Gilani are the poppet rulers of Pakistan as they could not stopped drones strikes. He blamed the PPP-led government and that they have broken the world record in corruption. Ch, Nisar said that Yousuf Raza Gilani has no more the prime Minister of Pakistan as he was not heeling the grievances of the public.

 The Noon leader also blamed Tehrik-e-Insaf chairman, Imran Khan that he was making pro-Zardai lobby for the forthcoming national elections. The protesting political parties’ leaders and workers threatened Zardari to leave the government or they will come up on the streets. The rally was also addressed by the MNAs and senators of different political parties and Fata parliamentarians.
